Jenny Austin

Jenny Austin serves as the Connections and Women’s Ministry Director. She works to help new visitors get connected to Evangel Temple and find their place as well as ministering to the women of ET.  Jenny was born in Bountiful, Utah and lived there most of her life.  While she was serving on staff at a church in Layton, Utah, Paul Austin, the Big Sky Area Director for Chi Alpha filled in as a guest preacher. They started dating soon after and were married in October of 2011.  Paul brought 3 children to the marriage (Tayler, Caleb, Alicia) and they have since added a son, Tommy, daughter-in-law, Ashley, a son-in-law, Trevor and two grandsons, Ezekiel and Theo. 

Paul and Jenny moved to Colorado in 2013 to join the staff of a church.  After being on staff for a little over a year, Paul was called back to Chi Alpha as the National Pioneering Director in 2014.  In 2017 Tommy came along and they felt called to move to Springfield, Missouri.  They joined Evangel Temple in October of 2017 and Jenny joined the staff in August of 2018 as the Connections Director and took over the Women’s Ministry in January of 2020.  

Jenny did not grow up in the church as we know it and, in her path to find Jesus, she encountered the love and warmth of a welcoming church.  It has fueled her passion for hospitality to ensure that every person whether a long-time member or a new visitor feel like they are welcomed and wanted. She has found new passion in ministering to women that was unexpected and extremely fulfilling.
