ONLINE GIVING

At Evangel Temple we give joyfully as part of our worship. This is in response to all that Jesus has given us and to help more people come to the Him as their Savior. While you can always give your cash or check gift at offering time on Sunday’s, we offer online giving to assist you in giving faithfully and consistently in a way that is safe and convenient. Don’t let not having a checkbook or cash with you prevent you from experiencing the blessing of giving!

WHY WE GIVE - A BIBLICAL RESPONSE

We feel strongly about stewardship and financial responsibility. The Bible teaches that God is the owner of everything, including our money and possessions. Jesus taught that our money is an indicator of the condition of our hearts, and Paul instructs us to give cheerfully, sacrificially, and regularly. When we give, we give back to God what He already owns. Our giving is an indication of trust, discipleship, and commitment. Giving is an active expression of our faith and recognizes God as our true provider. It affirms our trust in His ability to supply all our need. It is an act of gratitude and dependence. It allows us to partner with God in His work through our church and in the world. Giving requires the highest standard of faithfulness and discipline. Our pattern of giving should reflect a regular and systematic plan. Through our tithes and offerings, we prove faithful in the stewardship of all God has provided for us. Proverbs 3:9 says: Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.

HOW DOES MY GIVING SUPPORT THE CHURCH?

Evangel Temple prepares and adopts an annual ministry financial plan (budget). This plan is carefully prepared with detailed planning over several months. The financial plan is an operating tool that guides our church in ministry, mission, and operations. Every member and attendee of Evangel Temple has a God-given role in supporting the financial needs of the church through regular giving. Your gifts support several ministries, dozens of missionaries, outreaches, and events. Feel free to designate for a specific ministry, missionary or outreach when you give. IS GIVING ONLINE SECURE?

Yes! Giving online is secured through encryption and your chosen passwords. One time gifts through the giving portal (online, app, text to give) are secured through ShelbyNext and bank encryption. For recurring gifts, added security is provided through a username and password that you create. This online giving portal login information is separate from the online directory access provided by the Church to regular attendees. Only you can see your giving history through the online directory.

ARE THERE ONLINE HELP GUIDES?

YES! We have online help guides and videos. Click on the Help Guides picture or Go to etchurch.org/giving/givinghelp, click on the Online Directory page. There will be PDF guides you can download and videos you can watch from your browser. Of course, you can contact the Church Office any time for help: 417.883.0676 and office@etchurch.org.

ARE THERE FEES FOR GIVING ONLINE?

For tithes and offerings given online by direct deposit from your bank account, there are no fees attached. However, if you give using your credit card, the church is charged a 2.85% fee by our service provider and we do not pass this fee on to you, the giver. Please take this into account when you give. A service fee may be charged by the church on credit card payment for church event tickets.
